About
Hello! My name is Naveen Gupta. I'm a NYC native and also spent eight years in Boston, where I attended Boston University for the first four years. After college, I worked at IBM followed by Akamai Technologies
In July 2018, I moved back to NYC and continued my role with Akamai Technologies Technical Support Team. In November 2021, I switched to a product management role, working on Akamai's Services and Support product offerings. After many years of various support roles, I decided to pivot to a product management role which oversees the inner workings of our services and support teams, and offer my expertise in the domain for product improvements.
In November of 2023, I joined Datadog in a developer focused support role. I'm ramping up on multiple aspects of Datadog's product offerings such as the Datadog Agent, Datadog portal, Datadog integrations, etc. In particular, I'm aligned to our Synthetic Testing/RUM offering.
I'm an investor in Kolkata Chai Co, located in NYC's vibrant East Village. As an investor, I have a hands on approach to things and work part time at the cafe on Saturdays. A portion of my cafe wages every summer are donated to various organizations every summer.
Some of my other interests are cooking , photography, swimming, and dancing. I became more interested in dance as I took various dance based fitness classes such as Zumba, BollyX, and Masala Bhangra .

I got into photography as I started cooking and discovering new restaurants. I started out with my camera phone (iPhone 7) and continue to take pictures of food with my phone (now iPhone 14 Pro). I also have a Panasonic Lumix GX 85 MFT Mount which I use more for my travels. Lenses in my collection are from Panasonic and Sigma:
Hope you enjoy my pictures!
Noms
My source of inspiration for cooking is my parents. Growing up, I often took the time to observe what my mom was doing in the kitchen. I had learned some simple staple dishes before I went off to college and I experimented more throughout college. I started writing this blog after college as a way to keep myself occupied in the evenings. While I haven't updated in quite some time, I still enjoy recreating some of the recipes from my archives! Happy cooking!
